Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries (RIL) and Reliance group has a very exciting news for Internet users all over India. Mr. Ambani has offered fresh insights regarding company’s Reliance Jio 4G Services.

Chairman of Reliance India, Reliance Group and Reliance Industries & Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd took the stage at FICCI FRAMES 2016 and spoke about the future of Digital Media ,Internet Services and Reliance Jio 4G services. (FICCI is the federation of Indian chambers of commerce and industry. It’s a non-government, non-profit organisation that works closely with the government on policy issues related to Indian business and Industry).

While addressing the audition, Mr. Ambani put forward some stats and mentioned that Indian Media has grown by 9 times in the last 12 years. The total value, he says, is expected to hit $100 billion in upcoming 10 years.Ambani called Reliance Jio the “world’s biggest start-up” with investment of Rs 150,000 crore.Adding the “best is yet to come for the Indian media Industry” He said, the Reliance Jio 4G service will kick start with 70% coverage of India and will offer mobile broadband speeds that are about 40-80 times faster than the current average speeds, he added.

The current data consumption in indian on an average is 0.15GB per month, however with the coming of Reliance Jio 4G network it will be increased to 10GB per month for every internet user. Ambani further added that the Reliance 4G in India will be made affordable for consumers. It is said that Reliance Jio would target to expand high-speed internet coverage in the country to over 90% by 2017.

Speaking of the potential of digital media content and accessible broadband, Mr. Ambani said that an affordable and efficient video network would revolutionize the way we learn.”It will revolutionize education in India, We’re moving from audio to video”, he said. He ended with a statement indicating that Reliance Jio would do it’s best to support and promote Digital India initiative and will make India a Digital India.
